Whidden
Hall is one of 12 residence
buildings located on McMaster University campus in Hamilton Ontario.
Currently it is home
to 333 male and female students on five floors including the basement.
An elevator is available for use by students to all floors. The
building is oriented in three separate 'wings' colour coded into the orange, yellow, and blue wing.
Rooms consist of single, double and triple bed spaces. The residence
was built
in 1961 and is located adjacent to Cootes Paradise
on the northern edge
of campus. Each floor consists of separate male and female washrooms.
The floors consist of common rooms which include couches, tables and
cable television, as well as a kitchen which includes a fridge,
oven/stove, microwave, toaster, can opener and kettle. All other
dishware and cuttlery is not included. Located in the basement of
Whidden Hall is a large multi-purpose room, study rooms and the laundry
room with iron and ironing board included. The rooms, depending on the
number of students it houses, is furnished with a bed with mattress,
desk with chair, lamp, closet and/or drawer space, shelves, drapes,
mirror, phone, bulletin board, internet service, and carpeting.
